How do you protect your customers’ data?
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) – the acronym that has been on many people’s lips in recent years, but for many is still a confusing concept with complex rules and stricter requirements for documentation.
The General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act regulate the area in Denmark, and the rules have brought an increased focus on the processing of personal data.
As a company, you need to consider whether the processing of personal data is done as a data controller or as a data processor – a distinction that is not always straightforward.
We advise many different types of companies on the processing of personal data and the challenges and issues associated with individual processing. We help with statutory documentation, including the preparation of data processing agreements, records of processing activities, handling security breaches and compliance with data subjects’ rights.
It is the controller who must be able to document that, based on a risk-based approach, they process personal data in accordance with the rules, including that they have established an adequate level of security for the processing.
If you need a review of your company’s GDPR documentation or need help getting started with implementation, we are ready to help.
With our advice, we aim to provide a good overview of the sometimes complicated regulations so that the company is able to assess risks and take the appropriate measures, while the implementation must fit into the company’s business processes and the practical daily lives of employees.
Specifically about employee training
As part of our consultancy services, we offer to educate and train company employees on how to handle personal data correctly, and we provide advice and guidance on how to remember good data processing in everyday life.
