Intellectual property rights, also known as intellectual property rights (IPR), can be one of the most important assets for your business and therefore may need special protection.
Intellectual property challenges can include whether a trademark in the form of a name or logo should be registered domestically or internationally, whether a work is protected by copyright, a company’s rights to employees’ “works”, whether an invention should be patented or whether a design is protected as a design right.

Have you thought about what your company identity really is?
Is it the name of your company? Your products? Or something else entirely? And is it protected? A company or its products are often identified by a trademark. The question then becomes how to best protect your trademark.
Once you have found a good trademark or distinctive sign and want to secure the rights to it, it’s a good idea to register the trademark in the relevant countries where the company sells its products.
By registering a trademark, you gain brand security, you protect your brand from copying and at the same time, a registered trademark can have an independent economic value, giving your company and potential investors increased security.

Special about copyright
Are works protected against copying or imitation?
In Denmark, we have the Danish Copyright Act, which protects an author who has created a work, such as a book, a piece of music or software. The protection means that the author is the only one who can use their work, e.g. in relation to performance, publication, copying, etc. If someone other than the author uses the work without the author’s permission, it is an infringement of copyright.
