Mediation, which takes place after a lawsuit has been filed but before the main hearing in court, is an attempt to find a solution through positive dialog. An essential prerequisite for mediation is that the parties are willing to make an effort to find a solution that both parties can agree to. If, on the other hand, the parties are adamant about getting what they want, there is no way around the usual court process where the case ends with a verdict.
