Jess works primarily with company law and commercial law. For a number of years, he has advised on the purchase and sale of companies, generational changes, restructurings and matters related to daily business operations. He acts as a trusted advisor to family- and owner-managed companies in particular, where he contributes to strategic growth and development with his extensive legal expertise and many years of management experience. Jess has a unique ability to turn complex legal processes into manageable decisions while maintaining focus on the goal and impact of the legal advice. His business acumen and entrepreneurial attitude also contribute to him always seeing opportunities rather than limitations. Jess has a very large network that he actively participates in and uses to benefit clients and the solutions he recommends. In addition, Jess advises a significant number of private individuals in real estate transactions.
Jess Aagaard holds a master's degree in law from Aarhus University. He was admitted to the bar in 1993 and is admitted to the Supreme Court. In addition to in-depth experience with commercial law issues in Denmark, Jess also has special knowledge of Greenlandic conditions. He was a lawyer in Nuuk from 1991-1998 and still solves cases based on his unique knowledge of legal advice in Greenland.
Jess has been active on a number of boards for a number of years and has extensive experience in the operation and strategic development of companies. He is a certified board attorney and is a member of the Danish Debt Agency's panel of lawyers, which handles the processing of bankruptcy estates for SKAT. Finally, Jess is a partner in Kielberg Advokater, where he is also a member of the board.
